Course – Our Selective School (SS) Test Preparation Program

Commencing in Term 2 of each year, the SS Test Preparation Course runs for 10 weeks each term. During the weekly 3-hour class, students work through sample questions across the three test topics: reading and comprehension, thinking skills and mathematical reasoning. Writing sample questions are provided across creative, informative, and persuasive genres. With one of our skilled teachers, children will develop the following:

• knowledge bank of question styles and test structure
• understanding of psychometric testing ‘skills’
• exposure to questions based on new test format
• confidence to attempt all questions observing time constraints
• advanced literal and inferential comprehensions skills
• problem solving and critical thinking skills
• exam and time management techniques
• online test taking techniques and practice
• superior writing skills via detailed marking and feedback
